Santa’s Beard Cutting Activity
This free printable holiday set features Santa with a big fluffy beard for your little ones to practice their cutting skills. There are 9 pages of cutting options that include straight lines, curvy lines, zig zag lines, short lines (for beginners who are learning to snip), and a blank beard (to use just as a coloring page or to draw your own cutting lines). All pages are compiled together in one easy to download and print high quality PDF file.
This activity was designed with Pre-K, kindergarten, and/or children with special needs in mind. However, it can be a lot of fun for a variety of ages!
Simply print the page(s) you like. Then, have a blast coloring Santa and trimming his beard.
Tips
Always supervise little ones with cutting activities and make sure to use scissors designed for their little hands.
If your child is just starting to learn cutting skills, I recommend using thick or heavyweight paper as it is easier for his/her little hands to grip and control.
For more support for teaching scissors skills, check out my original Cutting Practice post, which features 20 pages of free cutting activities and helpful information about choosing scissors for children and developing fine motor skills.
