Primary lined paper (also known as 3 line paper, dotted midline paper, and simply handwriting paper) is great for early learners in Pre-K, kindergarten, first grade, and for students with special needs who require visual supports for writing.
Single line paper is ideal for students who consistently achieve proper letter height and formation without a midline.
1/2 inch options are available in both primary and single line pages to assist students in transitioning to smaller lines.
Black lined paper is the perfect option for those who use black only printing or are looking to save ink.
The tricolor lined primary paper is perfect for reinforcing proper line heights in handwriting. It can be used with the “sky, grass, ground” method (top line is blue like the sky, the middle dashed line is green like the grass, and the bottom line is brown like the ground/dirt). You can even incorporate this with a classroom theme. For example, if you have a coastal theme in your classroom, you can use “sky, ocean, sand” to reinforce line height.
The calm color lined paper options can be helpful for some students as the visual contrast is decreased compared to typical black and white printing. Softer colors like blue and green can be more calming for students, particularly those prone to sensory overstimulation (as is commonly observed in some students with Autism and ADHD). Printing on off-white paper can help decrease the color contrast as well.
