Additional Info

How to prep these signs:

Simply print the color and grade level sign of your choosing, and you are ready to make some first day memories!

How to use these signs:

  • First Day of School Pictures
    • Teachers and parents can have students/children hold the signs for first day of school pics.
  • School or Classroom Decor
    • Display signs around your school hallways, classroom doors, or on bulletin boards to celebrate the start of a new year!

Tips:

  • Frame your sign!  Cut your sign to 8 X 10 inches and place it inside a frame for a little extra cute factor.  It also makes it easier for children to hold the picture and keep it nice and upright during the photo session.
    • You can also scale the print down for a smaller frame.  These PDF file signs are easy to scale using your printer setting when you are ready to print.  (Under the Downloading & Printing section of this post is a link to printing tips if you need more assistance.)
  • Save the files on your device for next year (or go ahead and print them and put them in a safe place).
  • For first day pictures in your classroom or home, choose a color that coordinates with your decor so the colors really pop in the picture!
  • Already picked out the first day of school outfit for the kids?  Choose a sign color that goes well with your child’s outfit for a pretty pic!
  • For those who hate getting their picture taken, get kiddos involved in the process!  Let them choose their favorite colors to use for the pictures.
  • Have a senior in high school or a college student?  Choose a flag that coordinates with his/her university’s colors.
  • Looking to print black and white only?  I have stylish black and gray options that will make for lovely pictures and displays too!
  • Check out the coordinating First Day of School Flags to match the signs and make back to school celebrations even more fun!
