Additional Info

How to assemble these flags:

  1. Print the design of your choosing.
  2. Cut out the flag along the outer edge.
  3.  You can then display the flag as is, or you can wrap the short edge of the triangle backwards around a small wooden dowel and tape or glue it in place.  (A small skewer or dowel roughly the size of a pencil works well.)

How to use these flags:

  • First Day of School Pictures
    • Teachers and parents can give these flags to their students/children to hold for adorable first day of school pics.
  • Welcome Back Gift
    • Teachers can give children a first day flag as a welcome back gift or as part of a goody bag for the first day of school.
  • School or Classroom Decor
    • Display flags around your school hallways, classroom doors, or on bulletin boards to celebrate the start of a new year!
  • Personal Scrapbooking
    • When printing the designs of your choosing, select the options in the print dialogue to scale the flag down to the desired smaller size.  Then you can use the smaller flags to decorate journals, photo books, or scrapbooks.

Tips:

  • Save the files on your device (or go ahead and print them and put them in a safe place), so they are ready to go for next year!
  • For first day pictures in your classroom or home, choose a plaid color that coordinates with your decor so the colors really pop in the picture!
  • Already picked out the first day of school outfit for the kids?  Choose a plaid color that coordinates with their outfits for a lovely shot!
  • For kiddos who hate getting their picture taken, get them involved in making the flags!  Let them choose their favorite color or assist with the assembly by cutting out the flag or adhering the dowel.
  • Have a senior in high school or a college student?  Choose a flag that coordinates with your university’s colors.
  • Looking to print black and white only?  I have stylish black and gray options that would be perfect for you!
